Out of all the amazing destinations in Asia, Thailand and Nepal were always at the top of my list. But when it came down to making a decision, first I'll go to Thailand for one simple reason - scuba diving! Though there are so many incredible places to see and things to do in Thailand. 1. Bangkok - Thailand's capital city is a vibrant hub of culture and history, with ancient temples and modern skyscrapers coexisting side by side. Don't miss the stunning Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) or the bustling markets and street food stalls. 2. Chiang Mai - Located in northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is known for its beautiful temples, lush mountains, and rich cultural heritage. Visit the ancient city walls and moat, explore the night markets, and take a cooking class to learn how to make traditional Thai dishes. 3. Ayutthaya - This ancient city was once the capital of Thailand and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the ruins of ancient temples and palaces and learn about the rich history of the region. 4. Koh Samui - This tropical island paradise is known for its stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush rainforests. Relax on the beach, go snorkeling or diving, or take a hike through the jungle. 5. Sukhothai - Another ancient capital of Thailand, Sukhothai is home to some of the country's most impressive ruins and temples. Visit the historic park to see the ancient city walls, temples, and Buddha statues. 6. Chiang Rai - Located in the far north of Thailand, Chiang Rai is known for its stunning scenery, including the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. 7. Krabi - This coastal province is home to some of Thailand's most picturesque beaches and islands, including Railay Beach and Koh Phi Phi. Take a boat tour to explore the stunning limestone cliffs and crystal clear waters.

Chiang Mai is a charming city located in the northern part of Thailand that is famous for its stunning temples, rich culture, and beautiful scenery. The city is surrounded by lush mountains and is home to some of the most impressive temples in Thailand, making it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history and culture. One of the main attractions in Chiang Mai is the ancient city walls and moat that were built in the 13th century. The walls and moat are still intact and offer a glimpse into the city's past. The city also has many beautiful temples, including the famous Wat Phra Singh, which houses an impressive Buddha statue and intricate carvings. Apart from its historical and cultural attractions, Chiang Mai is also known for its vibrant night markets, where visitors can sample local food and buy handicrafts and souvenirs. The markets come alive after dark, and the atmosphere is bustling and energetic. Chiang Mai also offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including trekking, zip-lining, and elephant sanctuaries. The nearby mountains are perfect for hiking and offer breathtaking views of the city and surrounding countryside. Chiang Mai is known for its delicious cuisine, which includes a mix of Thai and Lanna (northern Thai) flavors. Visitors can sample traditional dishes like Khao Soi (curry noodles) and Sai Oua (northern Thai sausage) at local restaurants and street food stalls. Overall, Its laid-back atmosphere and friendly locals make it a great place to relax and unwind, while its many attractions and activities ensure that visitors will never be bored.
